NELSON'S most recent performance has given new boss Mick Molloy confidence they can re-capture their early season form - despite losing 6-2.
The defeat came against Morecambe in the quarter-final of the Lancashire FA Marsden Trophy on Tuesday, when Nelson's exit ended North West Counties League interest for another season.
But Molloy was delighted with the commitment and effort the players put in as he prepares them to face Blackpool Mechanics.
Tomorrow's NWCL Division Two home game represents a good chance for Nelson to get off the mark in 2004, having failed to win in five games since the turn of the year.
Molloy said: "We just need to settle down a bit more. We're creating chances to win but we need that bit of luck.
"If we put the effort in that we did against Morecambe we should get something out of tomorrow's game.
"We had them rattled at 3-2 but their class told in the last 20 minutes."
Molloy has goalkeeper Billy Carrington and Martin Brown struggling with injury, while Dave Lee is on holiday.
Shaun Berry, Paul Sconce and new signing Danny Craig from Clitheroe will be included in the squad.
