BLACKBURN boss Graeme Souness believes his players will be 'turned on' by the prospect of facing Chelsea's 'Roman army' in tomorrow's televised clash at Ewood Park.

Rovers' woeful home form -- they have lost six times and taken only 10 points from as many games in the Premiership -- has left them facing a fight for top-flight survival.

But Souness believes his team are ready to rise to the big occasion against Claudio Ranieri's title-chasers.

"We will go in with confidence, without fear and I would like to think I have some players who will relish the chance to play against them," said the Rovers boss.

"Facing Chelsea turns me on, you are up against some big-name players, I get excited by that kind of challenge, and I'd like to think my players will too."

Michael Gray is likely to make his Rovers debut, having snubbed the chance to join Carling Cup finalists Bolton to move to Ewood from Sunderland on a two-and-a-half year contract.

Andy Todd and Craig Short are also in contention for a recall.

"We have tried lots of combinations and personnel and we will be trying to come up with the right four tomorrow," said Souness.

Rovers are expected to choose from: Friedel, Neill, Gray, Babbel, Johansson, Flitcroft, Tugay, Gallagher, Emerton, Cole, Yorke, Jansen, Short, Todd, Mahon, Douglas, Danns, Enckelman.
