FIREFIGHTERS have warned of the dangers of making malicious calls to the emergency services after they were called to Beech Grove, Accrington, just before 2am today.
Firefighter Karl Blackledge said they discovered the call was not genuine when they arrived at the address.
He said: "These people just do not think. We could genuinely be needed somewhere and be delayed because of these types of calls.
"That can cost lives and it could even be a member of the caller's own family."
