THE Evening Telegraph can exclusively reveal the plans for a future transfer between Manchester and Blackburn's top team teams.
The Hi-Flyers Cheerleaders hope to return to the Blackburn Hawks ice hockey team after a brief stint at their neighbours, the Manchester Phoenix.
They regularly performed at the Hawks' matches at the Blackburn Ice Arena, but the facilities there meant they had to stop and look to cheer elsewhere.
Sarah Williams, coach of the Hi-Flyers said: "We were approached by someone from the Phoenix, who offered us the chance to cheer at the Manchester Arena." But the Blackburn Hawks want the Hi-Flyers back so much that they are re-organising the arena to accommodate them.
Sarah added: "The manager said that, hopefully, they might be putting up a special stage for us to perform on."
Sarah, 20, set up the group two years ago with some friends and now has about 36 girls in the team, ranging in age from eight to 23.
The Hi-Flyers train every Monday night and welcome new members. For more information call Sarah Williams on 07763746300 or visit www.hi-flyers. freewebspace.com.
