A LOCAL couple have been targeted by a latest scam through the post.
Pete and Hazel Wrotchford-Thomas of Leigh received the letter last week purporting to be from a Mr Sonni Mark Pepple from the Department of Minerals & Energy in Pretoria, South Africa.
The ruse claims that the Department has 'an over-
invoiced payment of US dollars' and asks the recipient to reply in confidentiality.
Mr Wrotchford-Thomas took the letter to the Police where it is currently being investigated.
