DANCER Rebecca Clamp has boogied away with first place in a top competition.
The 12-years-old Leigh girl won the U14 starter disco dancing section of the Dancer of the Year competition in Bundoran, Ireland, against contestants from all corners of the British Isles.
Bedford High pupil Rebecca, who has been dancing since the age of six, attends classes at Rhythms Dance School, Accrington, and competes in Latin and Salza, ballroom and disco.
She is also a keen gymnast, training at Robin Park, Wigan, and her ambition is to be a vet.
