TV Stars and break dance experts "Street Dance" were at Westleigh High last Friday working with students at dance clubs.
Students enjoyed the workshops which covered street dance, breakdance and robotics routines.
School drama head Laura Kidd said: "We aim to increase the profile of dance within the school as it develops each pupil spiritually and provides them with the opportunity to be creative, artistic and energetic!
"The pupils experience different styles of dance in school and breakdance has been introduced to the boys. This is a way of breaking down the barriers stopping boys from dancing and changing views about men in dance.
"It gives all pupils a chance to shine and everyone has equal status. It's an excellent art form in terms of team building and improving self confidence.
"Lads who would never have danced before have formed a street jazz/breakdance club and performed in two school shows!"
