WHILE in a state of deep depression, drowning my sorrows and watching Dwight Yorke's ex-girlfriend on TV, I chose to reflect on the reaction of Chelsea's defenders after Rovers' first goal.

They berated each other with great passion and no doubt a few choice words. At the time I thought, 'we've got them rattled'. Silly me, because their reaction was in direct contrast to the shifty-eyed, drooping head approach of the Rovers' defenders who trudged back in silence each time the traditional goal gifts had been distributed to the visitors.
