A LOWTON resident has written asking me to try and reclaim the pavement for pedestrians facing a daily obstacle route!
Apparently drivers are swinging on to the pavement outside shops near Church Lane leaving walkers with no option but to step out into the busy road.
The best of the bunch are the motorists who drive over the pavement to the postbox and lean out of the window to mail their letter without leaving the comfort of their cars.
Do these inconsiderate people never stop to think of the elderly, disabled and mothers with prams who can do without the extra hassle of manoeuvring between carelessly parked vehicles?
Obviously not in this every man for himself era.
