DONATIONS of £1200 were made to various local charities as the proceeds of the Atherton Charity Cup.
Cash went to Wigan and Leigh Hospice, Manchester Children's Hospital, Two Porches School, Fourways, Derian House, Manor Fold, Blakeborough House, Atherton House, Referee's Society, Atherton Colliers.
It is hoped to stage the competition again in 2004 and any teams wishing to register should contact Gerald Butler on 01942-870326 (home) or 01942-882828 (work).
