THE entire programme of games in the Leigh and District Youth League was wiped out by bad weather at the weekend.
The league started in 1996 and, until recently, was the fastest growing league in the country. It is virtually the only league in the North West which plays matches on Saturday mornings.
The league can accomodate teams from Under 11s to Under 18s with a high standard of football, having reached the semi-final of the Lancashire Leagues Cup on three separate occasions in recent years. Any teams wishing to join next season should ring Dave Ward on 01942-207861.
