GREENMOUNT Cricket Club have announced their new professional for the forthcoming season, Indian, Nishit Sudhakar Shetty.
A 31-year-old left-hand batsman who is also a more than useful slow, left-arm orthodox bowler, Shetty has been recommended to the village team by former paid man Robin Morris, a teammate of his with the Mumbai (Bombay) club.
He had an impressive year in 2002-2003 establishing himself as a regular in the powerful Mumbai side and a contract has been mailed to India for him to sign.
After two fine seasons with the Bolton League club Morris will this year be plying his trade for Settle in the Ribblesdale League.
