AN exotic bird caused a flap when it visited from on high during an RE lesson at Bury Grammar School.
Girls gasped as the green and red parakeet flew through a classroom window at 9.30am on Thursday (Feb 5).
Teacher Rob Latham said: "The bird narrowly missed one girl and perched on shelves, chirping at everyone."
"It certainly made a contribution to the lesson."
The bird was captured by a caretaker and is now living in a makeshift cage. Its owner should ring 797 2808.
