A WHITEFIELD businessman's car was pelted with beer cans and tins of soup by carjackers.
On Monday morning (Feb 2), Mr Barrie Lounsbach was forced out of his £14,000 Honda car by one of three men who was armed with a 3-ft long iron bar.
The 62-year-old and his son, Adam (23), had pulled up outside the gates to his company in Ancoats, Manchester, at 7am when a Renault Espace pulled up behind him, blocking his exit.
Mr Lounsbach said: "The men tried getting into my car but I had locked the doors. They were shouting and throwing things, such as beer cans and tins of soup, at the windscreen."
One of the offenders used an iron bar to smash the driver's side window.
Mr Lounsbach, who lives in Whitefield, said: "I didn't want to get struck with the iron bar so Adam and I got out. I expected them to attack us but they jumped in my car and sped off. Adam jad sterted to call the police but they took his mobile."
