GEOFF and Win Chadwick will have a gourmet meal cooked in their Bury home as part of top chef Andrew Nutter's continuing help for Christie Hospital.
Mr and Mrs Chadwick won the mini banquet as first prize in a raffle at Nutter's, Andrew's award-winning restaurant in Norden, Rochdale. The raffle raised £5,000 for Christie's against Cancer, which Andrew, who went to school in Prestwich, has adopted as his charity for 2004.
He says the raffle winner's meal for eight people will be "an extravaganza of luxury", featuring fine wines, champagne, professionally arranged flowers, waiter service and food cooked by a celebrity chef whose restaurant won last year's Lancashire Life Restaurant of the Year Award. Andrew is even taking along someone to do the washing up!
Says Mr Chadwick, a retired bank manager and former North West administrator for the Sports Aid Foundation: "We're delighted to have won the gourmet meal. We really enjoy the food at Nutter's and often go on Christmas Eve as well as at other times. It will be a real treat to have such sumptuous food cooked in our own home and to share it with friends without doing any of the work!"
