BRENT Peters makes an emotional return to Glossop North End tomorrow but says sentiment counts for nothing as he aims to mastermind a Bacup Borough victory.

Peters was in charge of the Surrey Street club in the 1990-91 season and guided them to the NWCL Division Two Trophy -- Glossop's first piece of silverware in 16 years.

It is his first trip back to the Derbyshire club since leaving 13 years ago but Peters says he will put those happy memories to the back of his mind, for 90 minutes at least, as he looks to secure three points in the NWCL Division One clash.

Peters said: "I had a fantastic season at Glossop and guided them to their first trophy in a long time.

"But for 90 minutes I will not be showing them any respect because a win for Bacup is all that concerns me. After the match, it's a different matter because no doubt I'll be shaking a few hands and having a drink."

Bacup will be without suspended captain Steve Stott and Rhodri Giggs who is at a wedding. But Paul Davies and Stuart Telfer are back in the squad after missing the League Challenge Cup victory against Clitheroe.

Peters said he is also open to offers for midfield man Lee Kershaw who has been placed on the transfer list after failing to secure a first team place.
