I THOUGHT I would put pen to paper in regards to articles I have read about Miss Jeanne Crain.
She has always been one of my favourite stars, I feel as though I have known her personally, the reason being is due to the fact that I started work way back in 1945 as a cinema projectionist with the Rank Organisation (Odeon) and I did show most of her movies which were released by the company. She had a contract with TCF (Twentieth Century Fox), my favourite movies of hers which I have in my collection are 'State Fair' and 'Leave Her To Heaven'.
However she did complete three movies for MGM 1956, 1967 and 1972 after her contract ended with Fox.
I retired from the cinema in 1995 after the Odeon who I worked for opened a cinema complex in Rigby Road.
It would be nice to know that Jeanne Crain, the Hollywood star of the 1940s, is actually living in Lytham St Annes.
