I WAS delighted to read the story (Bury Times, January 30) about Miss Marisa Dale and her time as the first head girl at St. Gabriel's RC school in Bury. I personally owe Miss Dale a debt of gratitude. She has always been a very hard-working teacher and JP, someone who would give her time and even her money to help others and to support good causes, particularly in the area of conservation work.
I read that Marisa has been invited back for the school's Golden Jubilee and I wish her well. I hope she has a wonderful time. She deserves it.
