PLANS to convert a former care home in Reedley into flats look set to be blocked by Pendle Council.
The developer also plans to build six houses and a block of garages in the grounds of the vacant Four Oaks Nursing Home, in The Crescent.
Pendle Council's Brierfield and Reedley committee is due to discuss the plans when it meets on Tuesday.
Council planners have recommended they refuse the plans on the grounds that it would be a cramped, overdevelopment of the site.
They added it would damage the existing "spacious and green" character of the neighbourhood.
An earlier application for four flats and eight houses on the same site, which is near the Lucas sports ground, was refused last November.
