A 35-YEAR-OLD Bury man was treated in hospital for smoke inhalation after a fire involving a toaster.
A stuck piece of bread ignited, causing fire damage to a worktop, wall unit and curtains in the kitchen of the property in Connaught Street.
The man breathed in smoke as he attempted to extinguish the fire. He was given oxygen at the scene before going to hospital as a precaution.
Fire crews were at the scene for half an hour following Friday's (Feb 6) incident.
