THE pub is winning out in the battle against the nightclubs in Blackburn, according to a latest poll.
When it comes to a top night out nearly half of all people, 49 per cent, said their ideal night is a trip to the local as opposed to clubbing, going to a restaurant, or a fancy town centre bar.
Between them, those three options only mustered 51 per cent of the vote.
More than two-thirds put it down to the fact that they save on cab fares, with seven out of 10 saying they love their local because they know most of the people there.
The poll was conducted by brewery Hardys and Hansons.
