NORTH End's list of walking wounded has lengthened after doctors confirmed Dickson Etuhu and David Lucas would be out of action for up to six weeks.
Etuhu was injured in the second minute of Preston's 3-0 victory over West Brom at the weekend as he tracked back to defend the Baggies' first break forward.
After several lifeless minutes on the pitch, Etuhu was stretchered off with a splint attached to one leg.
Later scans revealed it was not broken - but ankle ligaments were injured and he has been ruled out for six weeks as a result.
Keeper Lucas, meanwhile, has been on loan at Sheffield Wednesday for three months and it had been thought that he would move there permanently this week.
But he returned to Deepdale yesterday morning after suffering a knee injury while in action for the Owls at the weekend.
Initally, it had been feared the injury could keep him out for the season, but inspection at Deepdale suggested it may not be as bad as first feared - although a scan has yet to take place.
