Can I compliment James Stackhouse on his loyalty to his friend and fellow Liberal Democrat.
Loyalty from one's friends and colleagues should be cherished and not abused, however I feel that after listening to the full evidence in the three cases brought in front of the Standards Board for England that James's loyalty, is misplaced.
We all understand that people only see one side of a person; the side they wish us to see.
Though I do not blame James for his beliefs, I am saddened by them.
I can only urge people, and James in particular, to look on the Standards Board for England web site and at the Adjudication Panel's
findings on cases APE 105/ 106 /107 and understand that these are just three cases and there are more.
Finally I will use the words of William Gladstone Liberal Prime Minister (and for the younger readers, the words of Prof. Dumbledore): "It takes a
brave man to stand up to his enemies and an even greater man to stand up to his friends."
