A LEIGH store is seeking a new home for a giant piece of rock.
The two tonne, four foot high, Whitkirk stone, which stands at the main car park entrance is up for grabs.
It will go to the most innovative application sent to the supermarket's events co-ordinator Anne Ash by February 27.
Anne said: "We wrote the fact that we were committed to low prices in stone a few years ago, but customers now know that so we thought it was time for a change."
The rock could be used by a budding sculptor, broken up by a landscape gardener or even feature in a local park.
Anyone wanting the rock should write to Anne at Asda Leigh, Atherleigh Way, WN7 5RZ and state what they would like to use it for. The winner will be notified in writing by March 5.
