A LOOSE sign was dismantled by firefighters at the weekend after fears it could have blown down and injured someone in the gales.
The "Park 66" notice board was attached to a hoarding at Pilsworth, Bury. But the manager at the nearby Warner Brothers cinema was afraid that Saturday's (Feb 7) high winds could have brought down the sign.
A Whitefield fire crew discovered that bolts holding the sign were worn and dismantled the board in the interests of safety.
