YOUNGSTERS are putting the fun back into DIY. Children from Millwood Special Primary School in Bury got creative when they visited the Heap Bridge B&Q store.
Teacher Mark Foster said: "The children had visited the store to buy seeds for a project and while we were there we were invited to come back for an activity afternoon."
Eleven children aged ten and eleven decorated plant pots and sowed seeds with a little help from Steve Howarth, the in-store demonstrator.
"It was a really good afternoon session for the children. The plant pots are now on display in school," said Mr Foster.
B&Q spokesman, Will Bromilow said: "Organising activities such as this is one of the ways we support the community rather than just simply supplying materials to worthwhile projects.
"The children were very excited and had a good time. Visitors to the store were also very interested in what the children were doing."
