CHILDREN of primary school age are being welcomed to Helmshore Textile Museum during the half-term holidays.
Children are being invited to take part in activities from Monday, February 16, to Friday, February 20.
The museum is not open to the public until March 28 but keeper Catriona West has arranged for the special children's activities during the holiday week to help relieve half-term boredom.
Catriona said: "We realised that although we cannot open the museum fully to the public before the start of the season, we would make the classroom available for use by the children for the craftwork and storytelling.
"We hope that parents will perhaps get creative themselves."
On Monday and Tuesday, there will be a chance to make a Percy Perch window swinger, or a Little Daisy ornament.
On Wednesday through to Friday, popular storyteller Heather Mason will be entertaining children with her fun tales in the company of Mu the cat and one or more of Heather's three pet hens.
Heather will also be providing a variety of craft activities, including mask-making for the children to work on while they are listening to stories.
Participation in any of the week-long holiday sessions is free and the activities will run from 1pm to 4pm.
More information is available by contacting the museum on 01706 226459.
