A VICAR appealed to the people of Blackburn after a £20,000 blaze ravaged his church hall.
The Rev Peter Isherwood of St Andrew's Church made the cash plea after the loss of girl guide equipment worth around £4,500.
And former Deep Purple vocalist Ian Gillian's band received a rapturous welcome when they played a rock concert to a packed King George's Hall in Blackburn.
