COMEDIAN Les Dawson is the first person to be featured on a new Lancashire-developed website, containing obituaries and family archives.
Forever Remembered is said to be the first memorial website in the UK but some exist in the United States, run by undertakers.
Les Dawson's widow, Tracy, has endorsed the new British site, which has just been launched by two Lancashire businessmen.
The development follows the success of other personal websites, especially Friends Reunited which puts former school classmates in-touch.
Registration costs £10 for the first 5,000 people, then rises to £20. Individuals receive a computer code and password.
Pages are free to view, for anyone to browse or use for research.
The website address is www.ForeverRemembered.
