A NEW leaflet has been launched to tell Hyndburn residents how £2.9million of Government regeneration cash has been spent in the borough over the last three years.
The money targeted the four priority wards of Springhill, Central, Barnfield and Church and helped create 26 services including the wheelie bin and recycling scheme and sheltered housing. The booklet was designed by young people from Hyndburn Youth Council, members of the Neighbourhood Renewal Community Voice, the neighbourhood renewal team at Hyndburn First, and supported by the Hyndburn Leisure Creative Arts Project.
It features photographs and information on projects completed in the borough.
Peter Clarke, portfolio holder for neighbourhood renewal, said: "On behalf of Hyndburn Council I'd like to say a big thank you to residents of the four wards who have worked long and hard to publish this informative booklet.
"The graphics really show just how the funding is helping in the regeneration of Hyndburn areas."
Pictured are some of those who have worked on the leaflet including, back row from left, Roslyn Robson, Coun Peter Clarke, Tom Parson and Parvinder Sohal with, front, Elliot Sohal, 12, and Ffion Williams, 14.
