A SERIES of events is being held in Darwen to celebrate International Women's Week.
Activities are being laid on by the council to coincide with celebrations across the globe.
In Darwen, women will be able to take part in everything from sports, including archery, to beauty treatments.
The first event is archery, on Tuesday, March 9, at Sudellside Community Centre, from 1pm to 3pm.
Wednesday is Pamper Day, from 9.30am to 12.15pm when women will be able to recover from the previous day's activity in comfort, at Darwen Community Centre.
Pampering continues on Thursday with a coffee morning and hand massage from 10am to noon. To join in, pop into the Barlow Institute on Edgworth Road, Edgworth.
Also on Thursday, a craft day is being held at Sudellside Community Centre, from 10am to 2pm.
To finish off the week, an all day event is being held at King George's Hall in Blackburn, from 10am to 4pm.
Transport is available to the Barlow Institute and Sudellside, from community centres in Darwen. See staff at centres for more information.
