THERE was better news on the job front in East Lancashire as new figures revealed a fall of 150 in the number of people out of work in Blackburn.
Hyndburn also witnessed a drop in the number of unemployed within the travel to work area.
Retired Accrington farmer Rowland Nelson, 83, was made an honorary life member of the National Farmers' Union in recognition of his services to agriculture.
