BURNLEY woman Elizabeth Banks celebrated her 105th birthday with a glass of wine in the company of friend and family.
Mrs Banks, who enjoyed her special day in Dove Court nursing home, had previously lived in Hallows Street for almost 90 years.
Meanwhile Blackburn bowling alley Hollywood Bowl was the venue for the filming of a pilot television show "Strikeout". Manager Peter Doyle was hoping the show would be snapped up by television chiefs.
