ROYTON Town's slender lead at the top of the Premier Division faced a stern test with the visit of third placed Leigh Athletic. They were pushed all the way but still won 1-0.
A first half brace from Clint McLoughlin secured Atherton Town a 2-1 win at Breightmet United, who will be looking anxiously at the teams behind them with games running out. Phil Heap scored for the Magpies.
Over in Tyldesley, Hindsford AFC ran out 3-2 winners over Rochdale Sacred Heart.
