WORLD music and dance comes to Thornton this weekend with belly dancing and African drumming adding to the fun.
Thornton Little Theatre, Four Lane Ends, is hosting workshops this Saturday, February 21, with belly dancing for all ages, men and women, 2.15pm-4.15pm (cost £2) and African drumming and dance 4.30pm-6.30pm (cost £3).
At 8pm, the theatre will host a night of world music and dance, including live performances of African and Middle Eastern music and theatre and dance by Calcutta born Sangeeta Ghosh.
Tickets costing £6 (concessions £4), or £17.50 for a family ticket (two full plus three concessions), are available at the door for workshops or by telephoning 771141 during office hours.
Tomorrow (Friday, February 20) Lancaster author Zoe Sharp visits Thornton Little Theatre to talk about her work writing detective fiction novels.
And next Thursday (February 26) The Delta Trad Four play a lunchtime concert, 12.30pm-2pm. Tickets priced £3 (including lunch) available at the door.
