MO Camara is warning there will be no old pals act when he comes face to face with fellow Guinean Drissa Diallo.
The two old friends could be in for a series of touchline tussles tomorrow as Burnley's left back faces the Tractor Boys' stand-in right back.
And Camara is desperate to come out on top as Burnley look to extend a four-game unbeaten league run and take a further step towards survival.
Camara, 28, said: "Drissa and I are talking all the time - sometimes about three times a day.
"He's a good laugh, so I'll talk to him before and after the game. He is my friend, but not when I play against him and we could be against each other.
"I hope so, because that would be good."
The phone line has been red-hot this week in the build-up to the Turf Moor showdown.
Camara added: "Drissa is my best friend and we go back a long way. I met him when I was 17 and we still meet up whenever we can.
"The wedding back in Africa was a good day and before I signed on at Burnley, he told me about the club and the fans.
"He told me it was a good club where he enjoyed playing his football. But now he is very happy at Ipswich."
