AFTER last week's win against Leigh East, Leigh Miners Rangers U11s were brought back down to earth with a 34-4 defeat by Blackbrook.
Unfortunately, too many of the Rangers players appeared to be still half asleep and were made to pay against a much bigger Blackbrook team. Rangers' soilitary try came with five minutes to go when Cox burrowed over the tryline from dummy half.
On the positive side, several players did perform exceptionally well with Slater and Haseldine the pick of the forwards. In the backs, Meadows improved his defence with a try-saving hit near the tryline, while stand-off Ashton was at the heart of the Rangers' attacks with some neat distribution and deservedly took the MOM award.
