PUNK bands spanning the generations will come together at Blackburn's North Bar next Friday night.
It's taken seminal punk outfit 27 years to play their debut gig in East Lancashire but they will headline the special punk night promoted by Noize Anoize Promotions.
Menace will be best know for their controversial single GLC which was banned from the airwaves for the way it criticised the then Greater London Council.
Support will come from Blackburn band Boredom and Burnley's The Runs.
Boredom have reformed and are back to prove that, after three years, they are back and as good as ever.
For Burnley's the Runs, the gig marks the latest stage in their development. Formed just eight months ago and with an average age of just 17, the band have already released three self-financed EPs and a new release is scheduled.
Tickets, priced £5 are available from the North Bar, Blackburn Record Exchange, Townsends in Great Harwood and Astonishing Sounds in Burnley.
As well as major punk nights on the last Friday of the month, Noize Anoize are planning to use the second Friday of every month to promote local bands at the North Bar.
Two bands will take to the stage each month with tickets priced at £2. The first night is scheduled for Friday, March 12 and any bands interested in taking part can contact Andy on 07751 148326 or 01254 605004. Further details are available from the Noize Anoize website www.noizeanoize.fsnet.co.uk
