OUR local BNP member, Mrs Austin is at it again (Letters, January 30). She should remember the famous quotation from Abraham Lincoln who said in a speech in 1858: "You can fool all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time."
Her attempt to disguise the truth regarding the BNP is patently obvious. No matter how much she professes that the BNP is an ordinary political party looking after the interests of the British people, she cannot deny its roots.
The BNP was born out of the fascist National Front; its leadership members of Oswald Mosley's British Union of Fascists.
They can try as hard as they like to change their image by wearing a suit and tie, but behind it is still the old far-right thug .
