HINDSFORD came from behind to beat Rochdale Sacred Heart 3-2 in their home game on saturday.
Hindsford started well but fell behind when a clearance hit a Rochdale forward and rebounded into the home goal. It soon became two when Rochdale beat the offside trap.
Hindsford continued to play some good football on a difficult pitch and
deservedly reduced the arrears when a superb Simon Hampson ball out of
defence found Chris Cunliffe on the right and his cross was knocked in by
Dave Fashou.
Hindsford dominated the play in the second half despite being reduced to 10 men and with 10 minutes left Fashou worked his way down the left of the penalty area and beat the keeper with a good shot across the keeper to make it 2-2.
Hindsford pushed for the third goal and in the final minute Fashou cut in
from the left and the keeper failed to hold his powerful shot and Neil
Critchley was on hand to score the winner.
On Saturday the first team are at home to Wythenshawe Town and the seconds are away at Avro, kick off 2.30pm.
