THE new Motorsport Direct Cup has attracted a ten-car entry for the opening round of the series, Kall Kwik Rally.
Introduced as an competition for Vauxhall drivers by Barnoldswick-based specialists Motorsport Direct, the series will run in conjunction with the 2004 Kumho ClubmanS Rally Championship.
And tomorrow's opening round , based in Pickering, North Yorkshire, sees a host of talented national drivers in action.
Leading the field away is the Gloucestershire pairing of Andy Gwynne and Holly Robinson in their potent Vauxhall Corsa kit car.
A contender for overall honours in the Kumho Clubmans, Gywnne is expected to set the pace in the famous North Yorkshire forests.
He said: "We've moved into the Kumho series specifically to contest the Motorsport Direct Cup, which is only open to Corsas and Novas. We may be looked on as the favourites, but it will be a very hard fought series."
