AFTER reading the letter (LET, February 12) headlined 'We pay our road tax too,' I would like to say I am the lollipop lady the writer is referring to at Blackamoor.
Between 8am and 9am the traffic there is really busy and hectic.
I cannot see how she can get from her house to Queen's Park Hospital in 12 minutes.
I would also like to point out that to let the schoolchildren cross the road safely, I wait until the lights are on red anyway.
I don't see why she has to use me as a scapegoat to prove a point with Derek Jackson, from Darwen.
If she is that bothered about the traffic, then she should leave earlier on any day and not just on match days or bad weather.
J DUCKWORTH (Mrs), Ravenglass Close, Blackburn.
