DEAR MASSI, I wanted to write about how Asian guys always get the wrong impression.
It is very difficult for some of us girls to go to town and other places and the last thing you need is some 'brash' guy trying it on with you all the time. They act as if they own the whole place and some of my friends don't even go shopping anymore. And if they do they try to avoid peak times. We shouldn't have to do that!
It's the same with the melas. Guys need to understand that just because we are at a mela or at a shopping centre doesn't mean we are any different.
It doesn't seem to make any difference if you are with your family. This can be highly embarrassing and your parents think you know the person, when you have never met him before. I know not all guys are like that and there are those who respect others.
The worse thing is when it happens to their own sisters they get all defensive and protective but then the very same guys can be seen following and harassing other women. Treat people how you would want them to treat your own families.
