The Masala girls are back with a comical look at what it takes to organise a wedding in this latest offering from Oldham based Peshkar Productions.
The all female theatre group launch the Wedding Tour 2004 on February 16, and this year are under the guidance of writers and directors, Perveen Hussain and Sri Sarkar.
The fast and furious wedding based comedy expresses the fantastical and dreamy expectations every girl has for their 'Big day'.
The piece focuses on a group of young women all with their own experiences of weddings (some first hand, some imaginary) and how they can take over your life.
Masala Girls are a female only dance and drama group with members representing the Bangladeshi, Indian, Pakistani, Black and White communities.
The group regularly tour their performances and in 2002, the Masala Girls production sold out in every single venue it toured to with some venues having to increase their capacity to meet the demand.
They will be touring from 16th February until the 12th of March at: Oldham Coliseum, Manchester's Contact Theatre, Chester Gateway Theatre, Birmingham Mac, Bradford's Theatre in The Mill and The Darwen Library Theatre.
