TimeBank, the national Volunteering charity, is encouraging young people of different faith to put aside their preconceptions and interact with each other.
The 'respect' grants scheme offers up £1,000 for projects that bring together groups of 14-25yr olds, of two or more faith groups to undertake community-volunteering projects.
This is third round of 'respect' grants. In the first round, 10 groups across the country received grants of up to £1000 to spend on a variety of different projects.
The grant scheme is to open to groups nationwide, who already work with people of other faiths and those wishing to get started. The deadline for the awards for this year is 28th February. Interested parties should contact TimeBank on 0208 602 4008 or visit www.timebank.org.uk
