WHAT a problem we have with dentists -- or lack of them. I attempted to contact one in Blackburn who would treat NHS patients. This was impossible.
After telephoning at least 27 dentists to treat my partner, I discovered none were able to take any new patients.
But guess what? As soon as I asked if my partner could be treated privately, I was instantly accepted. My lady can now have her treatment, although it is an amount we can ill afford -- and I am sure we are not alone.
Even my own dentist has struck me off his list because I have not been to see him in the last 18 months for any treatment.
Is this what Mr Tony Blair calls 'moving forward?'
Having paid my national insurance/tax for almost 50 years, I expected to be able to get treatment when I needed it.
