DESPITE recent publicity, I consider that Blackburn Goths have always been orderly and sociable and blend well in our diverse community.
The Goths at times, when in large gatherings, like all young people, indulge in boisterous activity, but none, I am sure, that the local constabulary cannot handle.
In a society that has become dreary, of late, young people today face a bleak future, especially university students.
The social and cultural ethos of the Goths adds a touch of character and originality to a society which, at present, is filled with doom and gloom, amid the clockwork banana architecture of Blackburn and Darwen, along with its clockwork banana borough council.
By contrast, the Goths contribute a bit of social and cultural chic and panache to what has become a rather jaded town.
