RAMSBOTTOM manager Vince Overson is hoping his side's improved discipline will aid their push up the North West Counties Division One table.
The Riverside chief welcomed Saturday's 2-1 win, and performance, at home to Atherton Collieries.
And he is in confident mood going into tonight's clash with Collieries' neighbours Atherton LR.
"Everything went well on Saturday. It's as if the penny's dropping now," Overson said.
"They played 3-4-3 and we came up with a fantastic tactical plan to hit the channels. We did that for 90 minutes and it worked.
"It was a very disciplined performance and I'm happy with that because that's an area where we've had problems.
"But hopefully now we can push on for the end of the season."
The last time Rams faced Atherton LR the game was abandoned due to snow at half-time, after the Panthers had stormed into a 4-2 lead.
"They are a lively team and dangerous up front so hopefully there will be a lot of goals in it tonight but without us conceding," Overson added.
Liam Bowden will have a fitness test after sustaining a groin strain on Saturday.
Mark Stewart picked up an ankle knock but is expected to have recovered in time but Luke Hardman is again doubtful with a knee injury while Robbie Smith is suspended.
