Preston boss Craig Brown has admitted he is growing worried by the lack of goals scored by his two regular front men Ricardo Fuller and Richard Cresswell.
Richard Cresswell has not scored in 23 league games, while Fuller has not found the back of the net since January 10 when he scored Preston's first against West Ham.
And after another blank for the pair on Saturday, Brown admitted: "It is getting a bit worrying.
"You cannot fault Richard's effort, he contributes so much to the team as a whole.
"I am sure things will change, and we have been affected by injury.
"I am certain we have it in us to get back into the top eight and push for a playoff place."
David Healy, whose shuffle into the role behind the front two has paid dividends in terms of goals, limped off with an ankle injury at the weekend.
It looks as though he will recover in time for North End's away day at Ipswich on Saturday.
