MR Bloomer from Lancashire County Council's Highways Department has been invited to attend the next meeting of the Parish Council to discuss traffic problems in the village.
The Parish Council next meets on Tuesday, March 8, at 7.30pm in the Reading Rooms.
THE Borough Council have made Biffa aware of the complaints from residents of Worsthorne regarding the abandonment of wheelie bins after emptying.
It is hoped that the service will now improve.
THE Parish Clerk has informed the Boundary Committee that Worsthorne with Hurstwood Parish Council support a Lancashire-wide unitary authority in the hope that the less well-off areas of the county will benefit from the wealthier areas.
IT is estimated that this year's precept will raise more than £1,000 for the village, to be spent on the building of railing to the front and rear of the Reading Rooms as a means of deterring juvenile nuisance.
THE missing Fido bin from Swain Lane has been reported to the borough council with a request that a replacement bin be provided and sited higher up the lane.

Pendle Opera are to present this famous operetta from Wednesday 10th to Saturday 13th March at Burnley Mechanics. The opera combines three separate tales of tricks played upon Hoffman by an evil genius who assumes a different character in each tale. The opera provides a combination of colour, dark humour and glorious music. Tickets are priced at £6-£9 with all seats £6 on the first night.
